What we collect
- Account: email, display name, home city, optional photo and bio.
- Pings, chat messages, proof photos, Pulse reports and Squad posts you send.
- Payment records. Card details are handled by our payment provider; we never see your card number.
- Payout details you give us for cash-outs (PayPal email or Venmo handle).
- Usage counts (for example "a Ping was shared") without names or content.
Location
- Browsing: your device location shows places and Pings near you. You can say no and still browse.
- "Check I'm here": we compare your location with the place and keep only the distance and accuracy, never your exact coordinates.
- "I'm Here" mode: while on (15–60 minutes), we keep your approximate position to match you with nearby Pings, then it ends automatically.
- Other people only ever see counts of helpers at a place, and never a count under 2.
Who can see what
- Ping chat and proof photos: the asker and helper(s), and our team if there's a dispute or report.
- Together chat: helpers at the same place, first names only.
- Pulse reports and shared links: public, without your name.
- Squads: members see the Squad's posts, never each other's location, chats or earnings.
- Ratings: visible to signed-in users.
AI features
Writing help, note tidying/translation and Pulse summaries send the text involved to an AI service. Phone numbers, emails and payment handles are removed first. New Pings are also checked by AI for safety risks; flagged ones are reviewed by a person. We log that a feature was used and its size, not what you typed. The AI service is not allowed to keep your text.
How long we keep data
- Pulse reports: hidden after 3 hours.
- Ping chats: deleted about 1 hour after a Ping ends. Together chats: after 3 hours.
- Location checks: distance and accuracy only, kept with the Ping.
- Photos and profile: deleted when you delete your account.
- Payment and payout records: kept as long as the law requires, even after deletion.
Your choices
Turn off alerts, Watch, I'm Here or Squad totals anytime. Block anyone; blocks apply both ways.
Delete your account
Go to Profile → Delete my account. We'll remove your profile, chat and photos. Contact us to request a copy of your data. [Lawyer: confirm CCPA/CPRA rights wording and contact address.]
